Today I'm commenting on Donna's blog post about if gay marriage should be legal. After reading her post I back her up 100% and also feel that gay marriage should be legal. The reason I back her up is because believe it or not I have a friend that is lesbian and she's no different than me and you. I strongly feel that Homosexuals are just the same as everyone else and should be allowed the same privileges as straight people.
Donna goes on to say in her post that because gay people can't get married, there deprived of the simple things that married couples are allowed to provide each other or obtain. The first examples she touches on is insurance. She states that because the couples can't get married, it affects them if they wanna share health insurance with one another. She also states that gay couples are less likely to be allowed to adopt children, which in my eyes is horrible because they can help someone find a home. In my opinion who cares if the people that raise the kid is homosexual. It shouldn't matter on sexual preference because if the kid is being raised to be a good person it shouldn't matter.
After reading her post I feel that we stand the same on the issue. I feel she uses great examples from her article to get her points across, that gays should be allowed to be married. I again will state that we are created all equally and should be allowed the same opportunities as other. I think the govt. should allow gay marriage and someday they will. I have nothing against it and after reading Dona's post neither does she.
